Environmental Policy Statement

We are committed to protecting and enhancing our environment, and we continue striving to reduce our environmental impact wherever possible. We go beyond basic legal and regulatory requirements in order to fulfil our environmental agenda.

We aim to provide excellence in customer service while upholding our dedication to preserving the natural environment and the planet.

We maintain a comprehensive Environmental/Green Policy that outlines how we work to minimise our carbon footprint. Our current efforts include:

• Using paper made from sustainable sources
• Buying pens made from recycled plastics
• Using energy-saving light bulbs throughout our facilities wherever possible
• Recycling glass, paper, and plastic
• Using digital communication such as email, online newsletters, and online brochures
• Using eco-friendly cleaning products and green chemicals

As a group, our Environmental/Green Policy is built on the “reduce, reuse, recycle” philosophy. We focus on the following areas:

• Energy consumption
• Waste reduction
• Sustainable land management
• Employee environmental awareness
• Renewable energy generation
• Sustainable procurement

The following commitments underpin these objectives:

• Ongoing monitoring of energy usage to identify and achieve reductions
• Reducing the amount of waste we produce and send to landfill

• Ensuring new staff receive an environmental induction

Carbon Footprint

Climate change is a real and serious threat to society, caused primarily by the burning of fossil fuels. At Eximex UK Ltd, we recognise this and have begun the process of monitoring and managing direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions to minimise the environmental impact of our products and services.

We have established our own operational carbon footprint, covering emissions related to:

• Warehouse and office energy consumption
• Business travel
• Logistics
• Employee commuting

We are committed to achieving a 20% reduction in the carbon footprint of Eximex UK Ltd’s business activities by 2030. Further information is available on request.

A product’s carbon footprint typically includes emissions associated with raw materials, energy use, manufacturing, and transportation. Depending on the assessment boundary, a product footprint may:

• Cover raw materials through to distribution (“cradle to gate”)
• Or form part of a full life cycle assessment (“cradle to grave”), including use and disposal

Although establishing accurate product carbon footprints is challenging, Eximex UK Ltd continues to work with suppliers to identify and limit emissions and to develop lower-carbon product options.

Our main aim is to reduce our company’s environmental impact wherever possible. Carbon-reducing measures form an important part of our operational performance and our commitment to lowering harmful emissions.

To support this, Eximex UK Ltd will:

• Comply with all current energy legislation and targets
• Minimise waste and promote recycling, including the use of recycled materials
• Promote environmental awareness and responsibility among employees and partners
• Encourage remote working and the use of online collaboration tools
• Encourage suppliers and customers to utilise IT-based conferencing
• Support the procurement of energy-efficient vehicles

We will review this policy at least annually.
